About the Author The work of visual artist Rob Kesseler has been shown in museums and galleries in the UK, Europe, and North America, including solo exhibitions at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Kew Gardens, and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon. He is currently the chair of Arts, Design, and Science at the University of the Arts London. Over his career, he has been appointed fellow by several institutions: NESTA (National Endowment for Science, Technology, and the Arts), Gulbenkian Science Institute in Portugal, the Linnean Society, and the Royal Society of Arts. Wolfgang Stuppy is the seed morphologist at Kew's Millennium Seed Bank, a large international project based at Wakehurst Place in Sussex that collects and stores seeds and fruits from all over the world. A specialist in a rarely studied field, Dr. Stuppy teaches seed biology to university students and members of the Millennium Seed Bank Partnership in the UK and overseas. Until her retirement in 2005, botanist Madeline Harley was head of the Pollen Research Unit at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Her internationally recognized research work is concerned mainly with the study of species-specific pollen characteristics in the field of flowering plant evolution and relationships. Such pretty photos of microscopic pollen! I like this calendar because of the quality of the photos, the large squares in which to write my family's many activities, and the phases of the moon.
